About me

The 2011 – 2012 school year will be my eighth teaching French at Asheville School.
I reside on campus with my wife, Brooks, and my three children, Miles, John and Margot. We have fourteen hens, a wood-fired oven, and a large garden.
I got my BA and MA in French from the University of Montana. Before moving to Asheville, we spent three years living and teaching in the Burgundy region of France.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy cooking, beachcombing, skipping stones, hiking, baking bread, reading, and, most recently, weaving string figures (see above).
